How To Install SSL Certificate For Your Domain

After purchasing SSL, follow the following steps to install it. [Mostly SSL certificate works better with dedicated IP addresses]. While following this process you might need to create the Key first, which you will find on the same page [SSL/TSL in cPanel]. Or you can find that in your hosting provider’s admin panel.
Step One : Generate CSR [Certificate Sign in Request]
To generate your CSR you need to login to your cPanel account. Once you logged in search option named SSL/TLS. Once it displayed, click on it and get to the next page. You will be redirected to the page where you will generate your CSR key. Kindly follow the instructions as told and generate the CSR key. Once it’s generated, copy and paste that key in notepad.
Step Two : Upload CRT files to your server
Now, go back to your SSL/TSL dashboard and click on CRT option. Once you are redirected to that page, find the textbox with ‘Paste the certificate’ option and paste your recently created CSR key. Update the information.
Step Three : Install certificates on your server
Once you have updated the key and your website’s information, now it’s time to install the key. You need to go back to the SSL dashboard and find the option named ‘Install Certificate [HTTPS]’. Go to that page and select domain name for which you have recently created the certificate and install using .crt files or paste your newly generated CRT code which you pasted in CRT page. Most of the time, the certificate updates itself on the server once you upload the CRT data. You only need to select the right domain name and install the certificate.
It’s Done! Now your domain will have HTTPS as in secure browser to server connection.
