Basic Skills That Any Entrepreneur Should have
The era of entrepreneurship has already begun and there are so many people out there trying to be a successful entrepreneur like Mark Zuckerberg [Technology], Oprah Winfrey[Media], Larry Page [Technology], Bill gates [Computers] or Elon Musk [Internet, Space & Energy]. But if you look closer to those entrepreneurs who never made it to the successful entrepreneur’s list, you will find some lack of qualities. They only wanted to be an entrepreneurs not a successful entrepreneurs.
So, what it really takes to be a successful entrepreneur? You should have wealthy family background? You should have millions of dollars? You should be as great as Michael Phelps? None of them all! Most people have misconception about entrepreneurship. Sometimes they just ‘Consider’ that they will get success after starting some idea. But they totally forgot, how much hustle they need to do before reaching out to the top! To become a successful at any business or startup there are first few steps that you need to cross, those 2-3 customers you should face first before reaching out to the millions of customers. Once you do that successfully then the success will be at your door step.
Here are some skills to get those first few customers or steps, check if you have those skills as an entrepreneur
Considering your current startup idea, you need to check with yourself and ask yourself, ‘Do you really have deep knowledge about the startup idea?’ Do you know it all? I’m not saying you should have 100% knowledge of any subject but there are certain rules you need to follow when it comes down to start a startup. Well, then how you are going to get the knowledge? Pretty Simple! Search about it, ask Google, ask People or follow some ‘Guru’ who has deeper knowledge than you! Make him or her your mentor and let him/her show you the path of success. Because sometimes you need someone else to show you the path if you are walking on a wrong one. Get to know about your startup idea, get a deep knowledge!
Do you know yourself enough? I guess not, that’s why so many people push themselves toward failure. They get angry about destiny and blame the god about their failure. But the fact is, they didn’t know themselves very well. Knowing yourself doesn’t mean you need sit under some 100 years old tree and meditate. Knowing yourself means knowing your limits. When you start any startup, you should ask yourself, ‘Am I gong to handle too much pressure?’ or ‘Am I that strong enough to take all the risk and the responsibility comes with it?’. You should always be aware of your limits. You are not god that you can push yourself at to the top in one go! You need to try harder, you need to face the failures or sometimes you need to swallow your pride and do the things that you don’t like! Most of the entrepreneurs labeled as successful not because they succeeded in what they do, because no matter how many failures or disappointments they went through or going through, they keep going!
If you want to become an Entrepreneur in 2016, you must know the technology. I’m not saying that you should be able to write thousands of lines of algorithm but you should at least know what it is and how it works. Lack of technical knowledge may also lead you to the failure. There are so many tricks or digital marketing hacks which you might not understand or know because you don’t know how technology works. 21st century is the century of techie people and if you think you can survive without technology then all the best! Knowing technology will help you to understand what is going on around you! If you have an idea which can solve problems of millions of people, then with the technology of help you can solve it on a click of a button.
As a startup you should really have a Business attitude toward your product or service which you are going to offer to the market. Because if you know how to sell that product and make money out of it, then and then you will be successful. Your idea is excellent but without any money you cannot survive a day in a market. To run a successful business you should have constant cash-flow, that’s why you need to have business skills which includes so many sub-skills like managerial skills, CEO skills, Social Networking skills as well as managing entire show skills. Running a startup is not that easy, it’s a full day job but if you hire right people for right task then you don’t have to worry at all.
Here we are, in time of an Entrepreneurship. All the people in world now know what Entrepreneur is! But being an entrepreneur itself is a tough job. But if you are smart enough to hire experts for the job you wanted to get done then your ‘getting success’ chances gets high. Remember, if you are not sitting free and thinking about what next about your business then as a CEO or an Entrepreneur you are not doing your job well!!
